JAN 1 2022: I am now 2098 Days (approximately: 5 Years, 8 Month, 4 Weeks – LINK) and going into a new year and holding down my workout streak pretty strong.  This year I intend to add a bit more balance (reBalance) to my overall daily schedule.  I am pretty comfortable with my workout regime, but now I have to add a bit more efficiency so that I can accomplish much more.  I did not get to a lot of things last year and felt pulled away from my workout in particular at times.  My mental and physical health is absolutely important, but they cannot be the only focus going forward.  As I start off the year, I am so incredibly thankful and grateful for all that I have, I get and continue to receive on a daily basis.  I do have concerns but I am feeling quite contented right now.  I am having a bit of an issue with my back, but I will be dealing with that quite seriously in the coming day.  My sleep remains a focus of mine and I just have to make sure that I maintain good eating habits going forward.  I hope this year is a great one and that I stay injury free and able to travel as much as I intend to. 

Happenings:

Financials –  Things continued to be rough in the market through the end of the year, but I am writing this post about half-way through January and things have perked up some.  It does not feel, however, that we are out of the woods yet.  This does feel familiar.  Things usually pick up some as the weeks go by, the further we get from the holiday.  There are still sounding of a slight recession been put out by some of the larger banks, but for me and mine, I just need to keep looking forward – one day at a time. The feds continue to raise interest rates, as the economy is still in an inflationary period.  Crypto remains mud, mired down in some ways by news of the FTX failing. 

Socio/Political – Somewhat quite (phew!) for the most part.  The forces of darkness are at bay right now, but we are under no illusion that they are just right beyond the walls.  With the Dems holding on to the senate, the house Repubs are making the most of stirring up sh*t but the meaningful effect of that, I hope, will just highlight how depraved a bunch of tools they are.  Elon has lost a whole bunch of money.  Twitter and Tesla are tanking, I would say, due to whole bunch of hot air coming out of that one guy.  We have not heard much from him in recent days, maybe even a couple of weeks, so that might be a good thing.  

World:
No change here – Russia-Ukraine are still going at it.  Ukraine continues to over-perform, so to speak and things are not really looking good for Russia or for things coming to a quick end.  Lots of people have died so far.  Russian continues to shell population center, but with more and continuing support from the West, Ukraine is holding it down.  Covid is raging again.  China, a couple weeks ago removed controls due to a huge pushback by the population and now, the country is teaming with the virus with likely tens if not hundreds of thousand death being reported.  We don’t get much of an issue in other areas of the globe, her in the U.S, the virus is in full effect.  The latest variant is the BB.1.5 and it is extremely transmissible.  Most of the deaths being reported are in the elder population.  And it appears this variant is doing damage regardless of vaccination status.   Iran protest continues – down the government is just hanging people are protesting.  Just crazy.  Prince Harry just dropped a book criticizing his family.  It is apparently doing big numbers. 

Local – Jags are in the playoff for the first in a long time.  They did so with quite a bit of guts.  Down 24 at half-time, they roared back to win 31-30 against the San Diego Chargers.Things have been pretty quiet here on the home front.  No major weather events really, like it California that’s experience atmospheric rivers right now.  I have never heard of these before, but they are pretty deadly and quite a few people have died thus far.  We have had a couple of really cold periods – dipping into the low 30’s even, but no snow.

DareBee
I still have not missed a day with my forever baby.  I continue to do my dailies, but have pulled back from the challenges for now.  And whenever new workouts post, I continue to try and just knock those out as well.  For now, I am gonna continue focusing on the basics and get the job done. 

(Kept from previous foreword) – Additionally, I have added a couple layers of complexity or demand to my workout.  First, I am religiously sticking to DareBee and the Daily Dare; I am also, keeping the preliminaries.  Second, I have added a consecutive component – so, starting with the end of IronBorn (9 April 2017), I have worked consecutively.  I intend to push for 60 straight day, then see if I can get to 90.  So far I am enjoying it and my body seems to be rising to the occasion.  I caught the flu a few day before the end of the last phase (around May 2017) – I worked through it and was back up in only a couple of days.  It appears pushing through and forcing my body to continue working, I was able to push the flu out of my way.  I am also continuing my virtual push to OKC via Benton.  I am really enjoying that but I will have to pick up the mileage here in the next phase as I am running out of time. Keep leaning forward.
